Is DonkeyBucks really free?

The Free tier is free forever: dashboard, CSV import, manual accounts, budgets, spending tiers, and transfer cleanup. Every new account also starts with 30 days of Pro, no credit card. When the trial ends you keep all your data and simply drop to Free unless you upgrade.

How do I get my transactions in?

Upload a CSV export from your bank or credit card, or add transactions by hand. No bank login required, ever.

Is my financial data safe?

Yes. DonkeyBucks does not offer bank connections, so we never ask for your bank username or password. Your statements are files you choose to upload, and everything is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Is this a Mint replacement?

That is the idea. DonkeyBucks was built after Mint shut down, with the piece Mint never had: it shows which spending you can actually change.

How is this different from YNAB?

YNAB asks you to adopt a budgeting philosophy and maintain it by hand. DonkeyBucks does the sorting for you and shows you where the room is. No homework, no sermon.

What does Pro add?
